What's so hard about proving you are a US Citizen

I do not get it!! To get a drivers license, to register to vote, to get a SSN to get a job, you have to prove you are eligible by showing the proper clerk your Birth Certificate. Somehow Mr Obama has gotten away with not showing his.

Secondly, I am wondering how he traveled to Pakistan in 1981 when ordinary US Citizens weren't allowed to travel there. (Did he have an Indonesian Passport? I've read they only give those out to Indonesian citizens and do not recognize dual citizenship.)

I was also wondering how in matters of the Constitution "We the People" don't have the standing to make sure candidates for office on the ballot, are in fact eligible to serve. If "We the People" don't, then why not? and who does?

My last question is on whether a person who had dual citizenship as a child is eligible to president at all.

Let's hope the SCOTUS justices agree to hear this one. I think our country's survival depends on it. Of course if they hear the NJ case (google search donofrio) McCain is probably out too. I guess that makes Pelosi president. I wonder if that is what she is hoping for?

VP Debate

I watched Thursday's debate. I thought Gov Palin was wonderful. I did notice that she avoided some of the questions, or answered only the part she wanted to answer.
Senator Biden, on the other hand lied 10-14 times (or was factually wrong), depending on who you listened to after the debate. A big one was you won't pay anymore in taxes that we did under President Reagan. He seems to forget the top rate then was 28% not 39%. I suppose he meant to say Pres Clinton, because 39% was the top rate then. But to people who voted for Reagan and remember the prosperity in the 80's invoking Reagan's name makes people pay attention.

I did decide that few people would change their vote based on this debate, but it did motivate me to get a McCain/Palin sign for my yard.

I'm pleased to say that it has been there for 2 days now and was still there the last time I looked.
When I picked up my sign someone else at the GOP HQ mentioned she needed a replacement sign 'cause hers had gone missing. I guess free speech means tear down the signs of people you don't like.

The house across the street from me has Democrat Party signs, so I hope I don't lose mine. I like having a contrast of the different people running for office.
